It will set the pace for the entire day. “When you work out, your blood is pumping more, which improves the circulation of oxygen and nutrients throughout your body, including your skin and ultimately leads to that post-workout glow,” dermatologist Yoon-Soo Cindy Bae, M.D., explains.
Besides slimming our bodies through restricting calories, intermittent fasting increases our body’s detoxification process, reduces markers of oxidative stress and inflammation and triggers stem cell regeneration. Also known to lower levels of growth-factor hormone IGF-1, which has been linked to signs of aging.
Eat Plenty of healthy Fats
Cut back on sugar and refined carbs and eat more vegetables and healthy fats. Healthy fats will help lower inflammation and protect our skin’s lipid barrier. Healthy fats include Omega-6 Fatty Acids known as the building blocks of our cell membranes. They protect skin and prevent water loss to maintain healthy and plump skin. Omega-3 Fatty Acids nourish our skin and are key for a radiant complexion.
